Sour Cherry Limeade Belts by Kanha

I’m used to opening a jar of flower and having it be loud (i.e. cannabis slang for very pungent). But I’m not used to opening a bag of edibles and being met with as strong an aroma as what leapt out of the Kahna Sour Cherry Limeade belts bag: Bright, bold and tart fruit notes burst forth, and a pickering sweet-sour cherry soda flavor developed as I took a deeper whiff. It smelled like sweet indulgence: classic candy and a melted cherry Icee.
Made with the higher dose consumer in mind, the Kahna sour cherry limeade belts come with two 50 mg. belts per package, and each belt may be sectioned into five segments. The belts themselves have a delightfully soft, chewy texture, coated in a light dusting of granulated sugar; they’re a little oily and become slightly slimy as you swallow them, but not in an unpleasant way.
On the palate, a sweet entry quickly gives way to mouth-puckering acidity, more lemon than lime, before a long, mildly cannabis-flavored finish. Cherry/fruit punch flavors wash over the palate, and although the flavors feel artificial, they’re nostalgically so. These taste just like what you want your favorite grown up version of a classic candy to taste like: indulgently sweet, but with a mouthwateringly sour underbite that leaves you wanting to eat more.
As a high dose consumer, I took 50 mg. Before heading out on a long walk, and just under 45 minutes later, I felt energized by a mellow body high and paused to enjoy the way the light was hitting a rose. As a “start at 50 and go up” kind of gal, it’s rare for me to notice the effects of many products at this dose, but these Kahna belts didn’t disappoint.
