Paradise Rose 2024 - the breakdown
Aroma
Fruit and Floral are the first two elements in this parade. Earth and Fuel follow, but the stars of the show are undoubtedly FRUIT LOOPS! The citrus family is represented by sweet citrus pink grapefruit pith, including lime, bergamot, pomelo, and even passion fruit. Pineapples, mangos, soft bananas, cantaloupe melon, and jack fruit or durian with its dank, gamey notes complete the tropical flavor profile. Kiwi hints and strawberry cream reminders are also present. Finally, in this realm lies the undeniable Wrigley’s Spearmint gum.
The floral section brings forth the sweet perfume combinations of dried flowers, roses, lilacs, and violets. Cherry and orange blossom tea complement the grandma’s sweet perfume, jasmine, plumeria, or pikake. Earth isn’t far behind, with sweet creamy cedar, pine, and sandalwood notes. The fresh moss or freshly cut lumber warmth of young, fast-growing pine trees is reminiscent of this element.
Fuel brings up the rear with band-aid, rubber cement, lemon leather cleaner, saddle soap, postage stamp, and fresh shower curtain or pool toy. There’s even a very slight hint of brand-new tennis ball.
Appearance
The consistency of granulated butter that glistens on the surface as the terpenes rise and shine upon warming. The color is ideal for this type of concentrate. The quality is evident here, as the age and storage have truly left a gift for the end consumer. The jar pop has the intensity to truly showcase this cultivar.
Flavor
The flavors here are remarkably like the aromas. The initial burst of citrus almost triggers a sneeze. The warmth of the tropical, earthy notes fills the back of the mouth and throat. The fresh minty, creamy strawberry flavor is prominent at first, but it gradually fades into the sandalwood pine notes. There’s a slightly umami, earthy mushroom-like flavor that develops, reminiscent of slightly sweet soy sauce or mushrooms. The fuel transforms into a sweet diesel-like aroma, followed by a postage stamp-like scent that ends with malted barley and sweet toasted grains.
Experience
This uplifting cultivar was fantastic for daytime productivity or an evening pick-me-up to go dancing. The effects were fast-acting and had legs that lasted up to an hour or even longer. The initial stimulation of the body and mind quickly balanced out after onset. The duration was moderately long for such an energetic cultivar.
