Nasha’s new solventless rosin prerolls were a sleeper hit amongst our judging panel at the 2025 California State Fair Cannabis Awards.
While they didn’t walk away with any awards this time around for their rolls, their farm partners (e.g. Alpenglow Farms, Mattole Valley, etc.) certainly did. Nasha was highly ranked across the board - and left a particularly strong impression on yours truly.
Throw a blindfold on me and put 100+ joints in a lineup. I’ll still be able to pick out the Nashas, as they’re unlike anything else on the market. In a sense, they represent everything that makes the California craft cannabis scene so goddamned special - the perfect balance between old-school and state-of-the-art innovation.
For anyone who has tried their products before, it should come as no surprise that Founder Barron Lutz spent “years living in India, at the foothills of the Himalayas, studying the origins of hashish and the culture that surrounds it”. I mean, you take a guy with those sensibilities deep in his DNA, have him return to the Triangle to forge alliances with the best craft growers, and then turn him loose with modern machinery? It’s a clear recipe for success. These are products where you can actually taste the passion behind their creation.
It should go without saying that they operate with chemical-free, regenerative practices and demand the same from their farm partners (which are smaller, family operations). Inside this 1-gram preroll, you’ll find a blend of G Tank flower from Clear Water Farms and Dark Rainbow hash from Mattole Valley Sungrown. Now, I’m not sure if you’ve ever had either of these (highly flavorful, highly psychoactive) cultivars before but both are stellar, with that Dark Rainbow a cross of (the classic) GMO and a F1 hybrid Rainbow Beltz and the G Tank Sour Diesel x Gas. I love smoking each one of these strains on their own, so it was clear I was in for a treat before I ever broke open the tube.
The aroma that reaches me first is that skunky Sour D, with a hard hit of gas and rich, more umami flavors blooming as it opens up. It shifts further - baby diapers, an open field full of manure. The dry hit has all of the earthy dankness of a bog. It reminds me of Khalifa Kush’s Point Breeze a bit, sitting at the intersection of fruit (mango, guava, pear) and gas. Cap it all off with a little oily baby powder - and baby, you’ve got a stew going.
While the burn started off harsh, it did start to settle down and ended up burning smoothly and slowly - I’m talking reminiscent of that dripping tar pitch experiment, if you catch my drift. The draw was also fantastic with a light pull yielding a large plume.
Effects-wise, this is an impressively balanced indica that delivers a clear mental state, mood elevation, and deep body relaxation that ebbs and flows in waves over the course of several hours. I found it the ideal pairing for an evening of watching the latest F1 race and puttering around the apartment, doing light chores. Try taking a joint of it to the park to read a good book or pass the frisbee around. Accessible to those of all experience levels.
$9-12 buys one of these - so, less than a double smashburger these days. Unquestionably, one of the best values submitted in this year’s competition.

Easy listening that even those who don’t really dig country music can still get behind. A genuine outlaw who spent a significant amount of his life in the pen and was a patched member of the Outlaws MC. There is something for everybody here - ”Missing the Kid” is haunting and vulnerable, “Son of a Rebel Son” features a blisteringly fierce guitar solo, and sure, there’s a Bob Dylan cover in there too because sure why not.
