Today I bring you a new review from a trio that just got announced as Gold medal winners for the upcoming

2025 CA State Fair Cannabis awards. Ay Papi teamed up with Canyon Creek Farms + Mattole Valley Sungrown and came out with some heat! Today we will be taking a look at the Sour Z. This particular gram came presented in the form of two different consistencies, badder and jam. It was difficult to tell apart the two consistencies as they had homogenized together inside the jar, but when I dug into the jar I began to notice subtle differences in some of the scoops. There was a grainy jam-like substance on top of the classic badder and together made for one juicy consistency.

When I opened the jar, I was met with a strong sweet diesel aroma. There were notes of skunk tropical and gas all over the place. At the very end, there was a candy note lingering towards the end. I felt like this was a great mix of Sour D with Z, it gave me the best of both worlds. The aroma got stuck in my nostrils and I couldn't pick up any other note for a couple of minutes.

When I inhaled for the first time, I was transported to the inside of a skittles candy bag but it was short lived as there was a small gas leak inside of that bag and it had me exhaling gas fumes by the end. The mix of candy, gas, and kush was the perfect trio to send a shock to any tastebuds out there. The flavor got stuck in my mouth for quite a while. Even with all the gassy notes, the exhale was extremely smooth on this jar.

The effects were very potent which always goes well with a great tasting jar. It brought on a euphoric and energetic wave over my body. I felt heavily lit and did not experience a heavy body high like I do with a lot of Z crosses or mixes. I felt this one behind the eyes as it made me feel like they were almost closed but I was joyful and energetic at the same time. It made me feel good overall and would definitely help brighten up any day.
