2024 Trinity County Cannabis Harvest Recap
Trinity County is the easternmost county in the Emerald Triangle, sitting to Humboldt County’s east, to the south of Siskiyou County, to the west of Shasta County, and to the northeast of Mendocino County. The county is highly mountainous and is traversed by many forest service roads but only two main paved highways, the 299 and the 36, connect Trinity County to the nearby Central Valley and the Interstate 5 corridor.
Trinity County is the Emerald Triangle’s least populated county, with well less than 20,000 inhabitants as of the most recent census count. As such, Trinity’s rurality, cheaper land, and elevation, even relative to Humboldt and Mendocino - gives its communities and cannabis a certain flavor.
Whether the Trinity County Fair homegrounds of Hayfork, the county seat of Weaverville, or even the little mining towns of Old and New Denny… Trinity County’s towns are well known stomping grounds for cannabis history.

Unique geographical, terroir, microclimate features: “We are in an alpine mountain area that is the most north eastern point of the Emerald Triangle. The relative humidity in our area is always super low and we have daily 50-60 degree temperature fluctuation in August and September. It gives us the perfect environment for big full season plants, with very little chance of mold, and the climate factors have given us much higher terpene content. Closer to the ocean we saw a lot of 2% terpene results, on our current farm we are averaging 4% terpene content.”
